Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at customerservice@liagle.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.

First of all, we don’t recommend to mix a small batch of mud directly with the fibres. Because it can not ensure that there are the right amount of fibres of all kinds in the mud.

Some of our customers just mix two bags fibre with one box of taping mud and put the left over mud in small plastic boxes and sell them as tapeless mud on kijiji. Some give them to friends as Christmas presents.
There is an imperfect way you can try if you want:

  • put one bag of tape in mud in a pot, and mix the fibres thoroughly and evenly. There are three kinds of fibers in different lengths in one bag and they are not mixed evenly.
  • you will need a sensitive and accurate electronic scale to weigh the fibres.
  • 22 grams of Tape in Mud™ to one litre of premixed drywall taping or all-purpose mud for the first coat, 11 grams to one litre of joint compound for the second coat.
  • 14 grams of Tape in Mud™ to 1 kg of hot mud powder.
  • use a mud pan and small mixer to mix the fibre and mud. Make sure the fibres are mixed evenly in the mud.

Absolutely! We use a applicator modified like below To apply the tapeless mud and then use a flusher to finish it.
