How Liagle Tapeless Drywall Finishing Works

Tape in Mud™ is a combination of polyacrylonitrile fibers, polyester fibers, and cellulose fibers in various lengths and diameters. When fibres mix with regular drywall joint compound at the best ratio, they cross-link to each other and form a 3D structural mat in the mud. It serves like paper tape in the mud. That’s how Liagle Tapeless Drywall Finishing - Tape in Mud™ works.
Tape in Mud™ is a fibre reinforcement additive to drywall taping compound. It turns regular taping mud into fibre-reinforced tapeless joint compound. Instead of embedding drywall tape into the joints, we mix fibres into the joint compound and apply the fibre-reinforced taping mud to the joints directly. The process of pre-filling, taping, and filling is completed with just one coat of tapeless mudding.
Skip the taping process by applying fibre-reinforced compound directly to joints, finish only one side of inside corners where gaps exist, and avoid spreading butt joints to reduce labour time by approximately 40%. Just use hawk and trowel or putty knife and mud pan to apply the fiber reinforced tapeless mud, 3 times faster than use Drywall Taping Tools such as Bazooka automatic drywall taper, Semi-automatic drywall taper, like Banjo box drywall taper or Supper Drywall Taper etc. 2 times faster than Continuous Flow Drywall Taping System.
Joint compounds with Tape in Mud™ mixed in have much higher bonding and tensile strength, lower shrinkage, no plastic shrinkage cracks, and dry faster. It is tested, Proven reliable.·

We use premixed Taping Mud mix with Tape in Mud™ for the First coat as well. Use regular finishing mud for the Second and Third Coat. Done in Three Coats.
